abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule toner manufacturing method for obtaining a capsule toner having a uniform coating layer thickness, improving image stability, and improving toner fixing property and developer high-temperature stability. A method for producing a capsule toner includes: a fine particle mixture adhering step in which resin fine particles and silica fine particles are mixed, and the obtained fine particle mixture is adhered to the surface of the toner base particles; and the toner base particles and the fine particle mixture in a fluid state A spraying step of spraying a liquid for plasticizing these particles, and a film forming step of softening and filming the resin fine particles attached to the toner base particles, wherein the fine particle mixture has a particle size of the resin fine particles. Silica fine particles having a particle size of 50% or more and 100% or less with respect to the resin fine particles are contained in an amount of 10% by weight to 30% by weight with respect to the resin fine particles.
