abstract |
The present invention provides an excellent cellulose ester film with low process contamination during production and high production efficiency. To provide a retardation film having a small haze using the cellulose ester film, a Re value and an Rth value being controlled to desired values, and a small change in performance over time. To provide a polarizing plate excellent in display performance and durability using the cellulose ester film and retardation film. A liquid crystal display device using the polarizing plate and having good display quality is provided. A dicarboxylic acid residue having an average carbon number of 5.5 to 10.0 and containing at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue and at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid residue, and at least one average carbon A cellulose ester film containing at least one polycondensation ester containing an aliphatic diol residue having a number of 2.5 or more and 7.0 or less.
