abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing agent, a display device having the same, and a manufacturing method thereof. The sealing agent includes a photoinitiator including an oxime ester compound, a curing resin, a curing agent, a coupling agent, and a filler. The display device is formed along a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a liquid crystal arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, and an edge of the first substrate. And a sealing pattern for joining the second substrate to each other. The sealing pattern is obtained by curing the sealing agent. A manufacturing method of a display device includes applying a sealing agent having a photoinitiator containing an oxime ester compound along an edge of a first substrate to form a sealing pattern, and dropping liquid crystal on the first substrate. And disposing the second substrate on the first substrate so as to face the first substrate, and the sealing pattern joining the first substrate and the second substrate to each other.
