abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an α-SF salt solid that suppresses gelation in water. By kneading, an α-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester salt solid containing a) an α-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester salt and b) a water-soluble neutral inorganic salt is obtained. Based on the total amount of solid matter, a) is present in an amount of 30 to 90% by mass, b) is present in an amount of 8 to 60% by mass, and the total amount of a) and b) is 80 to 98% by mass.
