abstract | Disclosed is a method for producing a polyester composition in which silica particles are extremely uniformly aggregated and uniformly dispersed, and an alkylene glycol slurry containing silica particles used therefor. A reaction product obtained by esterifying or transesterifying an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and an alkylene glycol component is subjected to a polycondensation reaction, and the silica is produced until the polycondensation reaction is completed. In the method for producing a polyester composition in which particles are added in the state of an alkylene glycol slurry, The silica particles have an average particle size of 1.5 μm or less and are added so as to be 0.001 to 5.0% by weight based on the weight of the obtained polyester composition.
