abstract |
A method and composition for use in inactivating prions is provided. One or more enzymes effective to cleave a surface, suspension, or solution contaminated with a PrP Sc prion protein or a substitute thereof into (1) a prion protein into fragments having a non-infectious molecular weight And (2) treating the PrP Sc prion protein with a combination with one or more agents selected to not denature one or more of the enzymes, although the PrP Sc prion protein is conformally modified. And a composition comprising the combination of (1) and (2) used in this method. [Selection figure] None |
