abstract | The present invention relates to an efficient and improved method for purifying recombinant proteins. The present invention relates to the purification of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), such as truncated human tPA produced recombinantly in bacteria such as E. coli. The present invention provides a method that requires less refolding capacity after lysis of inclusion bodies isolated from cells expressing recombinant tPA without affecting the yield and purity of the tPA protein.
