Purifying self-cleaning coating composition comprising an organic binder having substantially anatase-type photocatalytic titanium dioxide particles dispersed therein having an average crystal size of about 1 nm to about 150 nm and preferably having photocatalytic activity in the presence of visible light Is disclosed. Advantageously, the coatings of the present invention without the need for pre-activation to achieve the initial high photocatalytic activity for pollutants such atmosphere of the NO X compounds. |
