abstract Surgical device. The surgical device may comprise a transducer configured to provide vibration along the longitudinal axis and an end effector coupled to the transducer and extending from the transducer along the longitudinal axis. The surgical device may also include a lower jaw that extends parallel to the end effector. The lower jaw may include a clamping surface that extends toward the longitudinal axis. The lower jaw can also slide relative to the end effector to move the clamping surface toward the distal end of the end effector.
