A method for indirectly binding a small molecule ligand to a molecule labeled with said ligand, wherein a skeletal molecule to which at least one small molecule ligand is attached is labeled Contacting the molecule with a receiver moiety that is present on the molecule to be labeled, or in situ to form a bond between the backbone molecule and the molecule to be labeled. Disclosed is a method having a group that is reactive with the formed receiver moiety, thus indirectly binding the small molecule ligand to the molecule to be labeled. |
