abstract |
Methods and kits for increasing the number of hematopoietic stem cells are provided. The method includes incubating the cells in a medium containing isolated IGFBR-2 and angiopoietin-like protein (Angptl). Grown HSCs and media and kits for growing human HSCs in synthetic media are provided. Provided are methods of administering expanded human HSCs to an individual, and methods of treating an individual by administering certain growth factors and cytokines. |
