abstract |
Closed loop / semi-closed loop infusion systems provide protective measures against therapeutic modifications and insulin over- or under-dosing. A glucose sensor system is configured to obtain the measured blood glucose level. The controller is functionally connected to the glucose sensor system and compares the measured blood glucose level to the target blood glucose level and adjusts the treatment delivery parameters if the measured blood glucose level does not match the target blood glucose level Although configured to do so, the adjusted treatment delivery parameters are limited to be within bounds. Thereafter, the delivery system delivers treatment at the adjusted treatment delivery parameters. |
