titleOfInvention Workstation for improving, objective and documenting a support structure and in-vivo examination of the uterus including the support structure
abstract The support structure of the present invention constitutes a part of an integrated portable imaging workstation operable by the examiner that improves, objectives and documents the in-vivo examination of the uterus. The workstation includes various components including at least an imaging head module operably connected to a support structure that images a patient examination region located on the examination platform. This support structure controls at least the movement and positioning of the imaging head module to the imaging position immediately adjacent to the examination area, as well as movement and positioning from the examination area allowing patient access to the examination area. The support structure further comprises control means for locking the imaging head module in place in the examination area and releasing the lock to allow translation from the examination area.
