titleOfInvention Cancer cell detection method and use thereof for diagnosis of cancer disease and monitoring of treatment of cancer disease
abstract A method for detecting cancer cells is disclosed. This method involves (a) contacting a cell with a substrate for the enzyme under conditions that the enzyme catalyzes the reaction between the cell and the substrate to produce a product capable of providing an electrical signal. And (b) measuring the level of the electrical signal, wherein a difference in the level of the electrical signal compared to a predetermined threshold indicates a cancer cell. This method can be adapted for diagnosis, monitoring cancer therapy, identifying agents that treat cancer, and individually optimizing cancer therapy. [Selection] Figure 2
