titleOfInvention Antimicrobial substance macrolactin A produced from Bacillus polyfermenticas KJS-2 strain
abstract The present invention relates to the use of macrolactin A produced by a novel Bacillus strain, Bacillus polyfermenticus KJS-2 (KCCM10769P), as an antibacterial substance. Macrolactin A of the present invention produced by Bacillus polyfermenticas KJS-2 exhibits a broad antibacterial spectrum against various microorganisms and fungi, and in particular, vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), which is a multidrug-resistant bacterium. And has an outstanding effect on the suppression of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MASA). Therefore, the antibacterial substance macrolactin A produced by Bacillus polyfermenticas KJS-2 can provide an excellent antibacterial preparation that suppresses vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Therefore, it is a very useful invention in the pharmaceutical industry. [Selection] Figure 16
