Disclosed are vaccines and vaccine adjuvants useful for the treatment and / or prevention of infections and diseases associated with infectious agents such as tetanus and diseases associated with biotoxins. An adjuvant and a method for producing a vaccine containing the adjuvant are also provided. Also provided are methods for vaccination / immunization of animals against infections and diseases associated with infectious agents such as tetanus and other diseases associated with biotoxins. Adjuvant materials prepared from extracellular matrix material are provided. The adjuvant material demonstrates that it improves the immunogenicity of the infectious pathogen antigen or biotoxin antigen of interest, as well as improving the survival rate of the immunized animal. |
