titleOfInvention Expandable member for intravenous lead fixation
abstract The present invention relates to a cardiac lead that can be delivered to the left side of a patient's heart, having a self-expanding fixation member positioned over the distal portion of the lead. The self-expanding fixation member can automatically expand from a collapsed state to an expanded state upon deployment to a target location within the cardiovascular. The securing member is configured to be biased to a given side of the lead body in the expanded state.
