abstract |
Latex paint formulations containing at least one N-alkyl dialkanolamine as neutralizing agent and methods for using them are disclosed. N-alkyl dialkanolamines provide low odor, increased air drying time, and reduced volatile organic compounds (VOC). N-alkyl dialkanolamines also help to require less pigment dispersant for paint formulations where the pigment volume fraction (PVC) in the formulation is between 10% and 70%. |
