titleOfInvention Method for detecting human parvovirus antigen
abstract A method for detecting human parvovirus / erythrovirus antigens in a sample involves contacting the sample with a buffer having a pH range of 3.0 to 4.0, suitably citrate / trisodium citrate buffer. Followed by measuring the antigen. Antigen measurement can be by virus capture enzyme immunoassay. The method is a good indicator for recent infections and can be used to screen individual plasma units or pools from which blood products are extracted. [Selection] Figure 2
