abstract |
The present invention provides (1) a biocidal effective amount of a first non-oxidizing biocide comprising a biguanide and (2) a biocidal effective amount of a second non-oxidizing comprising dibromonitrilopropionamide (DBNPA). A composition for treating a water recirculation system comprising a biocide, wherein the composition is substantially free of oxidizing agents. The present invention also relates to a method for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms in a water recirculation system comprising the step of treating the water recirculation system with the composition described above. |
