The hydrofluoroether compound is independently an intervening bond to the alkoxy or fluoroalkoxy substituted fluoromethylene moiety (—CF (OR) —) via two terminal fluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkyl groups and a central carbon atom. An oxytetrafluoroethylidene moiety (—OCF (CF 3 ) —) is included, and each of the end groups optionally includes a heteroatom linked in at least one chain. |
