A biodegradable implant and method of treatment of ocular conditions that is sized and suitable for implantation in an ocular region or site. Implants such as microspheres provide long-term release of the active agent in a therapeutically effective amount over a period of 10 days to 1 year or longer. The active agent is selected from estradiol, such as 2-methoxyestradiol, or α2 adrenergic drugs such as brimonidine and its derivatives, or prostaglandin analogs. |
