titleOfInvention | Regulation of renal function through electrical energy stimulation |
abstract | We discuss the regulation of renal function through the application of electrical energy stimulation. The electrical energy stimulus includes a frequency greater than or equal to about 1 KHz and is injected between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein at least one of the electrodes has substantially the majority of the stimulus, glomeruli, Bowman's sac, Proximal to the subject's kidney to pass through at least one of dense plaques, tubules, paratubular capillary networks, collecting ducts, glomerular import arterioles, glomerular export arterioles, or renal granule cells Placed in the body. Electrical energy stimulation regulates one or more renal functions. One or more parameters associated with one or more renal functions are measured and used to determine, among other things, a kidney status indication signal or to control an applied electrical energy stimulus. |
