titleOfInvention | Immunoassay of analytes in samples containing endogenous anti-analyte antibodies |
abstract | The present invention provides, inter alia, an assay that offsets the presence of endogenous antibodies (eg, autoantibodies) that can affect the measurement of an analyte in a biological sample. In certain embodiments, the method requires the use of two labeled products: a labeled detection agent and a labeled species-specific antibody (the labeled species-specific antibody is specific to the species from which the biological sample was obtained. .) The sample analyte is bound to either the detection agent and the anti-analyte autoantibodies present in the sample. The analyte bound to the autoantibody is detected via a species-specific antibody (optionally labeled). |
