abstract |
Methods of nanoparticle-based treatment of mammalian subjects are provided. The method uses nanoparticles and / or nanoparticles having an outer surface comprising an affinity moiety useful for specifically binding to a biological surface targeted for therapy and a hydrophilic polymer coating. The hydrophilic polymer coating is composed of polymer chains that are covalently bonded to the polymer component or surface adsorbed. After achieving the desired nanoparticle biodistribution, the affinity agent binds to the target surface and promotes nanoparticle internalization. |
