abstract An image pickup apparatus capable of reducing a light loss while suppressing breakage in a fixed half mirror. An imaging apparatus includes a fixed half mirror that separates subject light that has passed through an interchangeable lens into transmitted light La and reflected light Lb, and receives the transmitted light La to generate an image related to the subject. The imaging device 101 is provided. The half mirror 130 includes a light transmissive film having optical isotropy.
