abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepreg which gives a composite material excellent in impact resistance, can be manufactured simply and easily and has excellent surface tack retention. [Solution] A prepreg consisting of the following constituent elements [A], [B], and [C], wherein the constituent element [C] is localized in the vicinity of one or both surface layers, and the constituent element [A] includes the constituent element [B]. This is a method for producing a prepreg which is obtained by impregnating to obtain a base prepreg and then spraying the component [C] on the base prepreg and then heating and pressurizing. [A]: Reinforcing fiber composed of long fibers [B]: Matrix resin [C]: Short fibers of thermoplastic resin having a fiber length of 10 to 25 mm [Selection] None
