abstract The present invention provides a method for detecting low-concentration gas by effectively utilizing the characteristics of a metal complex-encapsulated zeolite held on a quartz resonator, a sensor used in the method, and a component thereof. In the low-concentration gas detection method of the present invention, the concentration of the detection target gas is 50 ppm or less in the vibration element 12 having a metal complex-encapsulated zeolite (for example, cobalt phthalocyanine complex-encapsulated zeolite) on the crystal resonator 14. A measurement gas G is supplied. Then, the detection target gas is detected through a change in the resonance frequency of the crystal resonator 14 due to the detection target gas adsorbing to the metal complex-encapsulated zeolite of the vibration element 12.
