PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus which forms an image having excellent color development and glossiness suitable for each recording medium regardless of whether glossy paper or matte paper is used. In an inkjet recording apparatus that performs recording using a plurality of pigment ink sets having different color material concentrations, the glossy paper is recorded without using the dark ink having the highest color material concentration among the ink sets.
