Provided is a dustproof and waterproof structure for a casing that has excellent sealing performance without twisting when being attached to a seal portion of a packing, and has good workability without requiring skill even when a seal member is inserted into a groove. To do. In a casing configured by fitting an upper case 1 and a lower case 2 with the space portions thereof facing each other, a semicircular continuous cross section is provided around a dustproof and waterproof region of the lower case 2. A groove 6 is formed, and a continuous ridge 4 inserted into the groove 6 in a state where the two cases are fitted is formed in a portion of the upper case 1 facing the groove 6. The spherical seal members 7 having the same diameter as those of the spherical seal members 7 are continuously arranged without gaps, and the width of the protrusions 4 is formed to be narrower than the width of the grooves 6.
