abstract |
The present invention provides a method for efficiently producing a toner having a uniform particle size distribution by reliably removing fine particles having a particle size of 2.5 μm or less. A dispersion liquid in which colored resin particles are dispersed in an aqueous medium is injected into a centrifuge having a non-perforated cylindrical tank on an inner wall surface having a rotation axis in the vertical direction, and the cylinder is rotated. After the particle component adhered to the inner wall surface of the tank by centrifugal force, the dispersion liquid in the cylindrical tank was discharged, and then the colored resin particles adhered to the inner wall surface were separated, and an external additive at 0.6 μm to 400 μm was included. A toner having a toner particle size distribution smaller than the number mode diameter and less than the number mode diameter and having a number mode diameter of 3 μm or more and 6 μm or less, and a method for producing the same.
