A method for efficiently producing an ethylene wax having a narrow molecular weight distribution is provided. An olefin polymerization comprising a Group 4 transition metal compound represented by the following general formula (1), a compound that reacts with the Group 4 transition metal compound to form an ion pair, and (C) an organoaluminum compound.
