The present invention provides an ink composition having reduced viscosity difference due to temperature and having excellent curling, cockling suitability, reverse-through resistance, double-sided printing suitability, and coloring property, a recording method using the same, and a recorded matter. In an ink composition containing at least 60% by weight to 10% by weight of water in the total amount of pigment, humectant and ink, the humectant content ratio is (A) :( B) :( C) = 1. The ink composition is 0: 0.1 to 1.0: 1.0 to 3.5. (A) At least one compound selected from glycerin, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, and dipropylene glycol. (B) Any of trimethylolpropane and trimethylolethane or a mixture thereof.
