A method and composition for diagnosing cancer susceptibility, a defective DNA repair mechanism, and a treatment thereof. Use of the FANCS2 gene sequence as a probe and primer for diagnosis of Fanconi anemia and cancer, screening for novel therapeutic agents. Preparation of an experimental mouse model, gene therapy positive vector, that uses for screening new therapeutic agents to treat symptoms associated with defective DNA repair.
