titleOfInvention | Method and kit for measuring protein in sample |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a measurement operation without requiring an expensive apparatus or instrument for measurement, having a very short time required for measurement and capable of measuring even a minute amount of protein in a sample. A method and kit for measuring a protein in a sample are provided. To measure a protein in a sample, the measurement is performed by a measuring method including the following steps. 1) Aggregate forming step in which a sample and a dye that associates with a protein to form an aggregate are brought into contact, thereby associating the protein contained in the sample with the dye and forming these aggregates; 2) After the formation of the aggregate, a flow step of passing a certain amount of the solution containing the aggregate through a porous carrier made of an organic compound and having a pore size of 3 μm or more; and 3) measuring the color of the surface of the porous carrier Color measurement process. A kit for measuring a protein in a sample, comprising a reagent containing a dye that associates with a protein to form an aggregate, and a porous carrier made of an organic compound and having a pore size of 3 μm or more.
