titleOfInvention | Cationic thermosetting resin |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic thermosetting resin useful as a wet paper strength improver having excellent wet paper strength performance and not containing environmentally undesirable AOX in the resin. Objective. SOLUTION: A crosslinking agent having two or more different functional groups (excluding a halogen group) that reacts with (A) aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, (B) polyalkylene polyamines, and (C) amino groups is reacted. By using the cationic thermosetting resin (I) thus obtained as a wet paper strength improver, the above-mentioned problem of not containing AOX and having excellent wet paper strength performance is solved.
