A plugged honeycomb structure 100 for a diesel particulate filter, in which the segments 1 are adjacent to each other and are integrally bonded to each other at the bonding surface 42 via the bonding material layer 3, At least a part of the honeycomb segment arranged on the outer peripheral side has an axial direction of the plugged honeycomb structure on the fluid inflow hole side end face 11 from the center side of the plugged honeycomb structure 100 toward the outer peripheral side. The plugged honeycomb structure 100 is an inclined segment 1 a having at least a part of the inclined surface 7 inclined so that the length of 8 is reduced. [Selection] Figure 1
