titleOfInvention Doping method, optical device manufacturing method, and nanoparticle generation method
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED To provide a doping method for doping impurities into a transparent member such as glass, and a method for producing an optical device by using this doping method, and further a method for generating nanoparticles of impurities in the transparent member. A doping method, a manufacturing method of an optical member, and a nanoparticle generation method capable of greatly changing the optical characteristics of a transparent member by a simple method are provided. The transparent member 1 is irradiated with an ultrashort light pulse laser beam 4 from a surface opposite to the one surface of the transparent member 1 in a state where an impurity 2 is brought into contact with one surface of the transparent member 1. A filament region 5 generated by the self-focusing action of the ultrashort optical pulse laser beam 4 is generated at a contact portion between the transparent member 1 and the impurity 2, so that the impurity 2 is contained in the transparent member 1.
