titleOfInvention Composite polarizing plate with adhesive layer and liquid crystal display device
abstract [PROBLEMS] To suppress light leakage on the long-wavelength side of visible light during dark display by using simple means without increasing the number of new members, excellent in contrast and hue, and wide viewing angle characteristics. And a composite polarizing plate useful for the liquid crystal display device. A retardation plate 20 is bonded to one surface of a polarizing plate 10 including a polarizer 12 made of a polyvinyl alcohol resin film, and 650 to 950 nm is formed on a surface of the retardation plate 20 opposite to the polarizer 12. A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached composite polarizing plate 17 comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 30 containing a dye exhibiting maximum absorption in the wavelength region is provided. The composite polarizing plate 17 with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is bonded to one side of the liquid crystal cell 40 on the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 30 side, and the same type or different types of polarizing plates 11 are arranged on the opposite side of the liquid crystal cell 40. A backlight 50 is disposed on the outer side to form a liquid crystal display device. [Selection] Figure 3
