abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-foaming surfactant that can be blended in a detergent for a neutral or weak alkaline dishwasher because foaming is less even in nozzle-jet type machine washing. A dishwashing comprising an alkylene oxide adduct (A) of an aliphatic alcohol represented by the following general chemical formula (1) and having an oxyethylene group content of 40 to 65% by weight as an essential component: Machine-use low foaming surfactant (B). [Chemical 1] [In the formula (1), R 1 represents a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having 10 to 20 carbon atoms; R 2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. k represents the average number of moles of ethylene oxide added, and is a number of 6 to 22; m represents the average number of moles of butylene oxide added, and is a number of 2 to 10.
