Cellulose ester film, polarizing plate using the same, and liquid crystal display device |
abstract |
The present invention provides a cellulose ester film having sufficient birefringence and free from contamination of a saponification solution and a reduction in retardation in a saponification treatment step for producing a polarizing plate. SOLUTION: A cellulose ester, a specific polycyclic aromatic compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group as a retardation increasing agent, and at least one pyranose structure or furanose structure having 1 to 12 OH having the structure. A cellulose ester film comprising an ester compound obtained by esterifying all or part of a group. [Selection figure] None |
