abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a lighting device in which a reflective layer can be easily formed and light can be extracted efficiently. The semiconductor light emitting device (5) includes a light transmitting substrate (11) and a semiconductor light emitting layer (12) formed on the substrate (11). The reflective layers (3, 23) have such a size that the semiconductor light emitting elements (5) are arranged at intervals.
