abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a bent low pressure discharge lamp in which the strength of the bent portion of the glass bulb is equal to or higher than that of a bent low pressure discharge lamp having a straight tube shape. It is another object of the present invention to prevent the bent portion of the glass bulb of the low-pressure discharge lamp provided therein from being damaged during movement. A low pressure discharge lamp 100 having a glass bulb 101 having a bent tube axis and an electrode 102 disposed at at least one end of the glass bulb 101, excluding the bent portion 101a of the glass bulb 101.
