L-cysteine producing bacterium and method for producing L-cysteine |
abstract |
A novel L-cysteine production method is provided by utilizing a gene responsible for L-cysteine uptake activity in Enterobacteriaceae bacteria for breeding L-cysteine-producing bacteria. Bacteria belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae having L-cysteine-producing ability and modified so that the activities of YdjN protein or YdjN protein and FliY protein are reduced are cultured in a medium. , L-cystine, derivatives or precursors thereof, or a mixture thereof, to produce these compounds.
