titleOfInvention | Image forming apparatus |
abstract | Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of reducing deteriorated toner in a developer and suppressing deterioration of charge amount distribution even when the deteriorated toner is present. A mechanism for collecting deteriorated toner composed of a conveyance roll and an adsorption roll 135 is provided downstream of the toner supply port 132c in the toner conveyance direction. A voltage lower than the voltage applied to the developing roll or a voltage of reverse polarity is applied to the transport roll 134 to hold low-charged toner or reverse polarity toner from the developer being transported on the peripheral surface of the transport roll. Further, the transport roll 134 guides the low-charged toner and the reverse polarity toner to the area facing the suction roll, and the suction roll 135 adsorbs the toner and collects the absorbed toner in the toner recovery box 136. The collected toner collected in the toner collection box 136 and the unused toner in the toner storage chamber are conveyed to the toner supply port 132c and supplied to the developing device 13.
