abstract |
It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel strain capable of inhibiting plant diseases caused by a wide range of fungi in vivo, and a fungicidal composition comprising an antibiotic and a purified and unpurified fraction of this strain. The object is to provide a novel antibiotic-producing Bacillus sp. That exhibits antifungal activity only against certain plant pathogens and does not exhibit antibacterial activity. As well as by providing a biologically pure culture of the strain having all the features that identify this strain. In addition, by applying an effective amount of these strains, supernatants produced by these strains or metabolites isolated from these strains, the fungal infection of plants, fruits and roots is treated or protected from fungal infection A method is provided. The present invention further encompasses the synergistic fungicidal effect of using strain NRRL accession number B-30087 with B-21661 (AQ713). [Selection figure] None |
