titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal display element and manufacturing method thereof |
abstract | A main object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display element in which alignment disorder is hardly caused when a ferroelectric liquid crystal is dropped in a liquid crystal sealing region separated by a partition wall, and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention provides a liquid crystal display element in which a ferroelectric liquid crystal is sandwiched between a first alignment treatment substrate and a second alignment treatment substrate having a plurality of substantially regular hexagonal partitions, The regular hexagonal partition wall has two sides parallel to the gate line or the source line and four sides intersecting the gate line and the source line, and the four sides intersecting the gate line and the source line are stepped along the pixel. The above-mentioned object is achieved by providing a liquid crystal display element, wherein the plurality of substantially regular hexagonal partition walls are arranged in a honeycomb shape.
