abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selecting probes that do not require verification using real-time PCR after data acquisition and verification of data acquired by a DNA microarray, and a DNA microarray equipped with the probe. A method for selecting probes to be mounted on a DNA microarray, including the following steps. 1) A step of extracting total RNA or mRNA from at least two types of cultured cells, tissues or organs of one or more animals. 2) A step of evaluating the expression level of the target gene by real-time PCR using the total RNA or mRNA. 3) A step of calculating a ratio of expression levels from the evaluation result with reference to a specific control gene. 4) A step of selecting a probe showing a result that matches the expression level ratio obtained in the previous step.
