abstract The present invention provides compounds that can be used to treat cell proliferative disorders, such as disorders associated with benign and malignant cancer cells, and further provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds. This is the issue. The above problems have been solved by providing compositions and methods that inhibit cell cycle G2 checkpoints, particularly DNA damage-induced G2 checkpoints, in mammalian cells, including human cells. In particular, the present invention provides compositions and methods for sensitizing cells to DNA damaging agents by eliminating cell cycle G2 checkpoints. The compounds of the present invention are used to treat proliferative disorders such as cancer. The present invention provides compositions and methods for selectively sensitizing cancer cells weakened at the G1 checkpoint to DNA damaging agents and treatments. [Selection figure] None
