abstract A method for ensuring safety of communication on an EPON is provided. SOLUTION: A method for securing communication on an EPON having an OLT and a plurality of ONUs according to the present invention includes: (A) encrypting a first type packet with a first short MACsec header and a first predetermined SAK.
